隔汽膜是防潮的塑料薄膜，是防止在各种建筑结构（钢结构，木屋结构，被动式建筑保温层）中形成冷凝。在商业建筑或家庭房屋中，隔汽膜可以提高能量效率和房屋舒适度，同时还可以防止潮湿。

怎样区分隔汽膜和防水透气膜

隔汽膜的应用十分广泛，它是用在建筑物保温层的下层，起到防止室内的潮湿空气向保温层渗透的作用。它可以隔绝水和空气，完全不透气，因此使用在保温层的最下层，可以防止室内的水汽渗透到建筑围护结构中。而防水透气膜一般是铺在保温层的上方，它是一种新的产品，在防水的同时兼具透气的功能。它的作用是防止室外的雨水进入保温层，同时能将保温层的潮气向外排出，让保温层保持干燥，增加建筑的保温性能，从而使建筑更加节能。

当然，在十分潮湿的地区，也有把隔汽膜使用在建筑的外侧的，这个要根据当地的安装特点进行选择。
